Your Zapier bill jumped. Find out exactly which Zaps did it.
A fixed-price audit of your Zapier task usage — dead Zaps, loops, AI step multipliers and pay-per-task leaks — with the exact plan tier you can drop to, and what it would cost to fix or rebuild the expensive flows. Delivered as a written report in 48 hours.
No password, ever. The audit works from your task-usage export and screenshots. If the report doesn't map a concrete path to dropping at least one billing tier — or eliminating at least $49/month in overage charges — the audit is free.
Is this you?
Your plan crept from $20–49/month to $89, $160 or more and you can't name the Zap responsible
You added AI steps or agents recently and the task count made no sense afterwards
You have dozens of Zaps built over years and no idea which ones still earn their keep
You run automations for clients and Zapier rent is eating one client fee after another
If you're under ~2,000 tasks/month, skip the audit — the free self-check below is honestly all you need.
The four places tasks leak
1. Dead ZapsIn one public breakdown of a real account, 63 of 123 automations hadn't run in a month — and 2 Zaps did 88% of the work. Most accounts have the same shape: a long tail you forgot, still on the bill.
2. Loops & retriggersA Zap that writes to the thing it watches can retrigger itself. Zapier's own community has cases of a simple calendar Zap burning 1,000+ tasks in a day.
3. AI step multipliersSince June 2026, AI steps bill at 1x, 3x or 5x tasks depending on model tier — 3x is the default. One "AI call" on your invoice can be five tasks.
4. MCP calls & pay-per-taskEvery MCP tool call costs 2 tasks, and accounts created after January 2024 typically have pay-per-task overage billing switched on by default. Surprise invoices are often a settings problem, not just a usage problem.
What the $49 audit delivers
Task map: every active Zap ranked by monthly task burn, top 5 flagged
Leak list: dead Zaps, loops, AI multiplier and pay-per-task findings, each with the fix
Downgrade math: the exact plan tier you can drop to after cleanup, in dollars per year
Fix-or-rebuild quotes: fixed prices for the top flows — cleaned up inside Zapier, moved to a cheaper tool, or rebuilt as code you own. If a cheaper tool (Make, n8n, Pabbly) is the right answer for a flow, the report says so; we don't get paid more for rebuilding
Stay/leave call: an honest note on which flows should stay on Zapier (its 9,000+ app connections are a real moat) and which shouldn't
How it works
Step 1
You send usage data
Pay $49, then follow a 10-minute guide to export your task usage and screenshot your Zap list. No login, no password, nothing installed.
Step 2
We audit within 48 hours
Every Zap's burn is checked against the four leaks. You get the written report with the downgrade math and fixed-price quotes.
Step 3
You decide
Fix it yourself from the report, or take a quote. No retainer, no subscription, no obligation either way.
Privacy: send usage totals and Zap names only — redact customer names and emails in screenshots, and never send passwords, API keys or run-history payloads. Everything you send is deleted 7 days after your report is delivered — or sooner any time you email us and ask.
$49 flat, per account
Automation consultants charge $100–200/hour for this work; a one-off audit shouldn't need an hourly meter running. One price, one report, 48 hours.
Guarantee: if the report doesn't map a concrete path to dropping at least one billing tier — or eliminating at least $49/month in overage charges — you don't pay: full refund, and you keep the report.
Booking opens with this page's launch — the button will point at secure PayPal checkout.
The free 10-minute self-check
Run these four checks before you pay anyone (including us):
Sort by burn. In Zapier's task usage view, sort your Zaps by tasks used this month. Write down the top 5 and their share of the total. If two Zaps are over 70%, your bill is a two-Zap problem.
Find the dead. Any Zap with zero successful runs in 30 days gets paused today, not "reviewed later". Zero-run Zaps on a paid plan are pure rent.
Check your AI steps. For every AI step, look at which model tier it uses. Advanced (3x) is the default; if a step just formats text or classifies, Standard (1x) usually does the same job for a third of the tasks.
Turn off the surprise. Check whether pay-per-task billing is on. If it is, decide a hard cap: either downgrade it to "pause at limit" or set a calendar reminder two days before your cycle resets to review usage.
If those four checks don't explain your bill — a loop, a retrigger chain, or a multi-step flow quietly compounding — that's what the audit is for.
Questions
Do you need my Zapier login?
No. Never. The audit runs on the task-usage export and screenshots you send. Anyone who asks for your Zapier password to "audit" your account should be refused.
How fast is the report?
48 hours from receiving your usage data. If we're full, the request button comes down rather than the deadline slipping.
What if my bill is small?
Under ~2,000 tasks/month the maximum realistic saving is roughly $20–30/month — do the free self-check and keep your $49. The audit is priced for accounts on 5,000+ tasks, where one tier drop is $40+/month.
Will you just tell me to move to Make or n8n?
If that's the right answer for a flow, yes — the report compares the same workload on Make and n8n pricing before recommending any rebuild. Sometimes the honest answer is "clean up and stay".
Can you do the fixes too?
Yes — the report includes fixed-price quotes for cleanup, migration of single flows, or rebuilding a flow as code you own. Quotes are valid 14 days and there's no pressure either way.
What exactly do I send — is it safe?
Only two things: your task-usage totals (the usage page, exported or screenshotted) and your Zap list sorted by usage. Redact customer names and emails in screenshots. Never send passwords, API keys, webhook URLs or run-history payloads — the audit doesn't need them. Everything you send is deleted 7 days after your report is delivered — or sooner any time you email us and ask.
Refunds?
If the report doesn't map a concrete path to dropping at least one billing tier, or eliminating at least $49/month in overage charges, the audit fee is refunded in full. If we miss the 48-hour deadline, you can choose a refund or the report free.
